Trauma-informed yoga is a gentle, mindfulness-based approach to yoga that prioritizes safety, choice, and empowerment. It focuses on helping individuals reconnect with their bodies at their own pace, supporting nervous system regulation and emotional awareness without pressure or retraumatization.

Healing Through Yoga: Protecting Your Peace Through a Journey to Self-Discovery

With a heart rooted in compassion and a spirit dedicated to service, Rakhi guides individuals through yoga as a path of self-discovery, healing, and joy. In this six-week series, each class weaves together a theme with breath, mindful movement, mantra, and mudra to create a space where participants can reconnect with their inner wisdom and strength.

Drawing inspiration from the rich traditions of yoga while honoring each individual’s unique needs, Rakhi offers a gentle, trauma-informed, and choice-based approach to movement. As a survivor of trauma, she holds space for people to reconnect with their bodies, breath, and sense of agency in ways that feel safe and empowering. Each class is grounded in the belief that healing is not about fixing ourselves, but about remembering our wholeness.

Rooted in the principles of safety, empowerment, and non-judgment, Rakhi’s classes are gentle, invitational, and accessible to all bodies and backgrounds. Practices support nervous system regulation, self-awareness, and resilience through breathwork, mindful movement, and grounding techniques. Her intention is to create a space where students feel seen, supported, and empowered to explore their inner landscape at their own pace.
