About Rakhi:

Rakhi Mistry is a Special Education Teacher with a Bachelor’s degree in K-12 Special Education from Northern Illinois University and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Concordia University. Since 1998, she has dedicated her career to supporting children and families, providing social-emotional support for individuals experiencing mental health and behavioral challenges.
In addition to her work in education, Rakhi is a certified Mindfulness Teacher through the Bureau of Education and Research and a 500+-hour Yoga Teacher, including Children’s Yoga. She is also a Master Reiki Level 3 practitioner and a Sound Healing Facilitator, trained through Ahimsa.
Rakhi’s holistic, trauma-informed approach is grounded in healing, empowerment, and social justice. Her mission is to support educators, families, and individuals in developing a healthy, balanced lifestyle rooted in compassion and self-awareness. Rakhi believes deeply in the practice of Ahimsa, non-violence and kindness toward oneself and others, as a pathway to finding peace within.
