IEA Leading Change Together: Wellness Collective

This initiative was made possible through grant funding from the National Education Association Opportunity Coalition Network and was created to address workplace stress by fostering support, opportunity, and healing-centered spaces.

In our first year, we hosted two webinars. Our winter session, Protecting Our Peace, was developed in collaboration with a diverse group of IEA members and focused on supporting self-care and well-being. Our spring session featured a panel discussion with youth from Lake Park High School, who shared their experiences and perspectives on the impact of the model minority myth on the mental health of South Asian students within the educational system.
