Where it all began?
Mindful Minds is a company originally created by Eshana Mistry, a 14-year-old that struggled with mental health. As she was working through the process of understanding what was going on in her mind and body, she discovered that these coping tools helped her get through a difficult time in her life. Her journey was just beginning, shortly after her diagnosis, she was given the opportunity to attend a Young Women’s Entrepreneur Leadership Program that allowed her a space to be herself and grow with young girls her age. It was one of the only places besides group therapy where she could have her own voice. Through the mentoring program, she developed a business plan, and the process taught her interpersonal and intrapersonal skills. Her intention for Mindful Minds was to sell unique stress-relieving stress toolkits to help people of all ages cope with mental health conditions. Eshana today (age 22) is pursuing a master’s degree in clinical Mental Health Counseling. As Eshana pursues her dreams, her mother took over the business to continue to spread the awareness of mental health, as well as, let families know that they are not alone.
